About:
This was a really cool project! I loved how this design worked out. It started out as an assignment for my PC Fundamentals class on how to install a computer on our school's domain. The design I created was really easy to use. I set the page up as five main frames. The top frame included the title. Below that was a row with three columns, the picture on the left, the content box in the middle, and a blank frame on the right. When a person wanted to see an enlarged picture, they would click on it and it would load in the right-hand frame. That way, the person wouldn't have to deal with a new window opening on top of their existing one. It was very efficient to read the information, look at the pictures, and keep going, without having to juggle a bunch of extra windows. ^^
Each picture had to illustrate a step. To make things clearer, I circled or underlined in red the relevant information of the screencap. I think it turned out very user-friendly :D
To make things even easier, I gave directions in the very bottom frame on how to use the webpage. I explained how to enlarge pictures and what the words in blue represented (which picture went with each section of the instructions).
One of my favorite little details, however, was the background of the content frame. I created it to look like a very light representation of the old dot matrix printer paper. How cool!
This layout turned out really nice and I love how easy and efficient it is to use!
