About:
It's Flair, the site you're looking at now ^^ This is actually the first time I ever did a non-anime style layout (outside of my school websites). Is that a bad thing?... Oh well, it pushes me in a different direction design wise. I found these pictures at www.freeimages.co.uk and fell in love with them! The carnival was such a pretty subject and I especially love the motion-blurred carousel. So Sugoi!! Ok, anyway I worked with iframes in this layout. Actually, only one. The navigation was on the left and when clicked, opened the page info in the right-hand side column. Nothing really fancy here.

Flair is such a cool name :) Perfect too! A little confession: when I first edited the carnival picture, I spelled flair as F-L-A-R-E which means a flame or blaze. Duh!! I wanted it to mean my style and talent. :P hehehe. Glad I caught my mistake early!

Like I said before, I love the pictures but I hate giving credit to other people for their images. I'm not a stealer in any way, I just prefer to use all the images freely as if they were mine. It looks more professional that way instead of adding a link in the disclaimer to a site where you found the pictures, which is exactly what I had to do. I have no problem, however, giving credit when I list all the information about each layout, like I do on this page. It's weird, I know...sometimes I feel happy to acknowledge other people's work and other time's lament it because it makes my pages look less professional. Maybe it's because when it's required, I feel like I'm bound to another site by an invisible contract or something. If I put a link up in the "About this Layout" part of my site, it's more of a kind gesture than an obligation. Anyway...in short, everything worked out ok and looks nice so I'm happy :D

I made this page as a portfolio when applying for an art scholarship and it actually won me the top prize! Yay, go me! XD But now I keep updating it because it really is a good idea to keep track of all your old work. It also gives me a lot of pleasure looking back through all my old stuff and seeing how I've changed!!
