It’s Di Gi Charat again! I love this layout, the second version of Anime Zenith Guild’s message board ^^ I’m just sad I didn’t have it up for more than a month.

I had an idea of what picture I would use and how it would be positioned on the page even before I started. But when I found the image, the left side, including part of Digiko’s hand and Gema (the yellow ball), were cut off. Good thing the edges were outlined in a thick gray border that made drawing in the missing side much easier.

The info box is really cute too. The text is a little too far over to the left but I didn’t take the time to fix that. Positioning the box was difficult too. Since the picture is on the right side instead of the left, things didn’t line up as easily. For one, if the window was resized, then the table used to control the info box would overlap the picture of Digiko. If the whole thing was on the left side, that problem most likely would not occur.

The starry theme seemed to fit the cheerful mood of the character. At first, I wanted to use bigger stars at the base of the picture but that didn’t look right. The thick border that outlined the main characters looked nice and I used that idea to decorate the space right under “Info”. Chunky broken lines attach to three falling stars. In contrast, the divider that separates entries is a star with a very decorative swirly tail.

This happens to be my favorite layout that I created for the Extended Message Board. Again, I’m kinda disappointed it was only shown for about one month...
